Dub producer The Mad Professor will be performing at WOMAD 2012, EntertainMe asked a few Q’s to the man himself.

Mad Professor, what an awesome name.. where did this come from?

From building radios and other devices as a kid

How did you get involved in the music industry, where did it all begin?

With Ariwa Experimental house in 1977.

How would you describe your sound?

Real Futuristic.

You have an extensive list of albums that you have produced or contributed to, what do you consider a milestone album that you worked on?

The first one!!

How do you define dub music?

The first form of remix music.

What is your music influenced by?

Soul, Reggae and Calypso.

What is the best part of being a musician?

Seeing people dance to the music.

We are looking forward to catching you down at WOMAD in March. What do you know about this event?

I have performed at it before, and thought it was the best organised festival that I have ever seen.

What are your plans for 2012?

No plans!

Lastly, if you could change one aspect of the world what would it be?

The same!
